GANDIA AREA SOCIAL CLUB (INTERNATIONAL)

There are three walking groups associated with the Gandia Area Social Club: Strollers (or Shufflers), Ramblers and Toughies. The Strollers and Ramblers meet weekly on Wednesday mornings between late September and mid-May to enjoy some not-too-strenuous exercise amidst the glorious scenery of this area of Spain (to see the countryside and its nature). The Strollers for walks in the 'easy' to 'moderate' categories, around 2 - 2.5 hours (3 hours exceptionally) or up to 10 km, with frequent rest-stops, 10.45 am for 11.00 (sharp-ish!) start. Now under leadership of Dave & Sue (96 280 8776 or 600 289 282 new number) with the help of Alan & Stella (96 287 9965 or 639 029 201) .

The Ramblers for walks mostly ín the ´moderate´ to ´a bit difficult in places´ range, usually between 2.5 - 4 hours' duration or 10 - 15 kms distance, with occasional rest-stops. Led by Kevin & Anna (96 288 8059 or 665 206 322), 10.45 am for 11.00 am (sharp!) start.

The Toughies are a small number of experienced GASC walkers who meet fairly regularly on Saturdays or Sundays to take on more challenging, and longer, mountain walks.

Meeting venues and start-points vary from week to week. All walkers, especially newcomers, are reminded that they participate at their own risk. Bring sufficient fluids and a packed lunch, unless advised otherwise. Well-behaved dogs are welcome on walks under full responsibility of their owners. All walkers do so at their own risk.
