DIRECTIONS TO PILES 

FOR PICNIC ON THE BEACH

from the town of Piles on the back road between Oliva and Gandia
take the road to the beach (there is only one)

at the first roundabout (it has a tower on it) turn right onto new road, towards Oliva
go to the end (there are some bollards stopping you from continuing)
turn left
go to the end (towards the sea)
turn left, which is Calle Dr Fleming, with car parking on both sides, parallel to the sea
(this doubles back on yourself)

after a couple of blocks there is a no entry sign ahead, lots of disabled parking, a basketball court and a big white wall
the road to the left is Calle Bon Aire
stop and park
we intend to picnic here on the beach on a boarded platform
failing that on the prom on the wall

bring chairs
we need a picnic table or two
and lanterns to eat by

come for communal picnic from about 9pm
or just for walk starting at 11pm

there will be a short section of roadway so you may want to carry sandals for that bit
(and water, towels, swimming costume, money, mobile, emergency torch, midnight snack......)
