NOTICE OF ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
The Annual General Meeting of the Gandia Area Social Club (International) will take place at Rte Viva
España, N332 Oliva, on Tuesday 31st January 2012, commencing at 10.30 am
The provisional agenda is shown overleaf and on the Club website, members may add other propositions.
These should be sent to the Secretary in writing (by email or letter) by Monday 16th January 2012.
A final agenda will be published on 17th January 2012.
IT IS PARTICULARLY IMPORTANT THAT WE HAVE A GOOD ATTENDANCE AT THE FIRST
MEETING IN ORDER TO MEET THE REQUIREMENTS FOR A QUORUM TO CONTINUE THE
MEETING.
Nominations for election to the Committee.
These should be sent or handed in writing to the Secretary by 16th January 2012. Nominations should show
a proposer and be signed by the nominee to indicate his/her willingness to serve if elected. An individual
member may also propose him/herself. Voting is by secret paper ballot.
The Club’s revised statutes are approved by the Valencian Government and have a provision for proxy
voting at General Meetings. Members may therefore prepare signed proxy letters and hand/send them to
the Secretary before the start of the AGM. Alternatively, signed proxy letters may be given to any member
attending the meeting.
Please note that, in accordance with the Club statutes, new propositions cannot be considered after 16th
January, even on the day of the AGM.
For this reason, issues raised under Any Other Business cannot be voted upon.
