Welcome to the Gandia Area Social Club (International), GASC for short, a social club set up in the La Safor region of Spain for both existing residents and newcomers to this area. All nationalities are welcome. In particular we try to be supportive of new arrivals to Spain - coping with a new language and assimilating new customs is not always easy, membership of the Club helps to make you feel less lonely in the early months whilst establishing your new home. Come and meet people and make friends with us.

Our aims are broadly twofold:
to provide a focus for social exchange, entertainment, recreation and mutual support and assistance among members
to welcome and provide assistance, advice and information (wherever and however possible) to new migrants to the area.

We meet once a week on a Thursday at Viva Espaņa, Oliva (on N332 Gandia side), for dinner (from 7.30 for 8.30pm), social evening and dinner dances as arranged. Weekly walks, petanca twice a week, golf, trips and outings are also available (for members and often non-members).

Among the growing numbers of informal and semi-formal social groups set up by non-Spanish residents this Club is believed to be the first organisation of its kind in the La Safor region officially established and constituted under Spanish law. Link to membership info
